Oooh, have I got a belly ache right now!I went out for lunch, ate way too much for my own good, and as a result I'm now home moaning and groaning with a very bloated and achy tummy.  I wish I had someone here to help rub it for me :(   Especially my lower tummy!  I get these kinds of tummy aches a lot, and it always is the worst in my lower belly.  It's just that too-full, "oooh I ate too much!" aching feeling.  I've been trying to get some relief by rubbing my poor tummy, but it doesn't seem to be working.  Anybody else have an aching tummy today?

I do! I went to a really cheap Chinese buffet with all this greasy stuff...and I ate some of everything. And then some more. Then I had a crab leg, and realized afterward that the crab legs are $8 more to the buffet..but then you get as many as you want. So, since it was a waste to pay $8 for one crab leg, I felt obligated to eat more...I was already really full though. So I had four more...and then dessert...my stomach feels huge. There's an ache deep in the middle of my gut, and I'm lying down with my laptop on it to write...I'm starting to realize having a heavy object on a fat tummy is a bad idea...

Try lying on your tummy.  After I posted earlier I went and laid tummy-down in bed and it helped a little, though I'm still bloated and aching. I have to go to work soon, so we'll see how creatively I can deal with this belly ache in public :\

Tummy Ache
(Date Posted:04/05/2009 7:24 AM)

yes I have an aching tummy today :-(> My stomach feels so hard and bloated and Im aching deep in my gut.  I'm pretty sure its because I have been unable to go to the toilet.  Ive been eating lots of oranges and other fruits to try and solve the problem without using anything from the chemist.  has anyone got any other ideas what i might take because I really do feel quite poorly.  Im beginning to feel sick and headache.  Im also really lethargic.

To the person who can't go to the toilet - try prune juice. If interested, you can get something from the chemist too. I'll post the name of the medication if you are interested. Any one got a tummy ache today?

I have a really full tummy right now from lunch. I went out with a few coworkers to an italian resturant and ordered the lasagna. bad choice (my tummy just gurgled in agreement). I have been sort of constipated for a few days now and my lower tummy is swollen so all that heavy food is sitting on top of everything else and my tummy is bloated and hard. I tried to not let on to how much my poor belly was aching when I left the resturant but as soon as I got back to my office I unbuttoned my jeans and pulled up my shirt and began pushing and rubbing my poor belly. right now I'm groaning from all to pressure in my stomach. I have a meeting in a half an hour and I hoping I feel better before then. any tricks to hiding a horribly aching belly?

the only thing I can suggest is to try going to the toilet or to loosen your clothes.  Once I had a bad tummy ache at work, i told a work colleague and she suggestied that i sip warm water which was good and it did take it off, but my tummy ache wasnt caused by eating too mcuh and besides you dont want to put anything else in your already overstuffed belly do you.

RE:Ohh, Too Much Food in the Tummy...
(Date Posted:04/26/2009 1:41 AM)

Like a few others on this thread, I've been constipated recently and this morning woke up with a sore and slightly bloated tummy. I stayed in bed for a while and tried rubbing my belly, then lying on my belly, but it didn't seem to help much. Tried to go to the bathroom, still nothing. I don't get constipated often but when I do it lasts for a couple days and gives me quite a stomach ache. My boyfriend called and wanted to have a late lunch and suggested Mexican. I thought maybe it would get things moving in my blocked-up tummy, so I said ok. My tummy didn't really hurt too much anymore, it was just still bloated and feeling a bit full by that time. I wore an elastic waisted skirt since my jeans put too much pressure on my tummy, and a shirt that wasn't too tight in the middle, so that my boyfriend wouldn't notice my belly. Well, the only thing the Mexican food got moving in my tummy was a big huge tummy ache! While my boyfriend was paying, I excused myself to the restroom thinking that maybe the major ache in my lower belly meant I might be able to go to the toilet. There was nobody else in the restroom and I was really glad, because I needed to have some time with my tummy. In the mirror I saw that my stomach was bigger than before, thank goodness I wore the elastic skirt! I went into a stall and started to rub my tummy with both hands. There was some movement and a small gurgle or two and I thought maybe I was getting somewhere. But I still couldn't go! By this time I thought my boyfriend would be wondering about me and I wanted to get home and take care of my belly ache anyway, so I gave up. I tried to suck in my tummy because it was so big (I'm not a very big person), but that didn't feel very good. We walked out to the parking lot and I really just wanted to be in my car where I could hold my poor stomach. I guess I must have looked uncomfortable because he asked if I was ok, and I said I had a little stomach ache from eating so much. I didn't want to tell him I was constipated. He had to go to work but said he hoped my stomach felt better. I rubbed my belly with one hand the whole way home. Ohhh, did it hurt! When I got home I changed into some pajama pants which felt better on my stomach and once again tried to go to the toilet. Of course the Mexican food was producing some gas in my stomach which was just about the last thing it needed. I did burp a couple of times, but other than that nothing was moving. My tummy was stuffed full. I went and laid down on the couch and kept rubbing my belly. Every once in a while it would gurgle or groan. I eventually fell asleep with both hands on my tummy and woke up a few hours later with the stomach ache from the food gone, but feeling twice as bloated and full. I've tried a few more times to go to the bathroom with no luck, so I'm typing this now with the same aching and full tummy. Have any of the other posters who were having similar tummy troubles been able to relieve them yet? Also where do your stomachs hurt most? Just curious. Mine is worst in the lower tummy area with some middle tummy pain as well. Back to the tummy rubbing for me, oohhh...

Re:Ohh, Too Much Food in the Tummy...

I am sitting hear with my huge tummy sitting in my lap.  I went for an early lunch today and had one of those taco salads in the deep fried bowl.  It was huge and I ate the whole thing as well as almost half of my friend's because she didn't want to waste any food.  When I got home, there was a message from another friend asking if I wanted to go to the season opening of my favorite BBQ place.  Thinking it would be more around dinner, I called and said I would love to go.  She picked me up in 15 minutes.  The special was half a chicken and a full rack of ribs.  Plus sides of baked beans and clow slaw.  I ate it all.  On the ride home, my friend kept poking my bloated belly and making popping noises.  I wasn't sure that I wasn't going to pop.  Actually I'm still not!!

I get really bad tummy aches and constipated but i dont know why.  Im on a slimming diet at the moment and have lost 50lb.  Im eating a lot of fruit  and veg which should make me be able to go to the toilet but about once a week for 3 or 4 days I cant and my belly bloats and is really painful especially in the lower tummy area.  I get headache too at this time.  I know you can buy things from the chemist to help, but years ago i took something like that and got severe diorreah and bad tummy ache then too.  One thing that does make me go to the toilet is chocolate, but I cant have that when Im dieting.

Isn't chocolate a better idea than a tummy ache? I'd eat the chocolate because I think being constipated puts on weight.

I'm writing from the U.k and I have a tummy ache right now. I know I'm daft but I had a cafe meal about an hour ago. It consisted of fried bread, two eggs, greasy sausages and bacon. Now I've got this really bad tummy ache because me and grease do not do well together. The thing was, I was really hungry cause I'd missed out breakfast. Right now, I'm not sure if I'm going to throw up all over the place or suffer all afternoon. I'm rubbing the aching parts right now. I'm sipping water. Any other ideas?

The chocolate id really hitting my belly now and making it hurt something awful. It was just an uncomfortably full belly a few hours ago and now the chocolate is making my stomach churn hard. It's gurgly and really upset. Any solutions to the problem. If someone wants to live chat with me I'd love to discuss my poor tummy ache.

Ohhh, ive just been sick down the toilet.  Id eaten a chinese takeaway and had a bottle of wine.  Half way through my meal I started the have the tummy ache but carried on eating anyway as I was so enjoying the food.  Half an hour after Id finished eating i felt like i needed the bathroom (for a poo) but just as I got to the bathroom my stomach decided to reject its contents and I only just made it in time to the toilet when i heaved and vomited.  I felt better after that, but my stomach started to hurt again, buidling up to awful pain and I feel so bloated and sick.  I know I am going to puke again.

Did you eat too much food on purpose with the intention of causing a belly ache?  Sometimes i dont intend to but i over eat.  I have a big stomach anyway.

I also have too much food in my tummy right now. The big burer king breakfast I had earlier is lying in my belly like a rock causing it to feel extremely upset.  I'm just waiting for the killer stomach ache to kick in any time now.

I think I am going to explode!!  I ate 2 pounds of buffalo wings and a 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger with onion rings.  I also drank a whole lot of soda.  Now everything is just sitting inside of me groaning and bubbling.  My tummy is big and tight.  I can't even push it in.  I feel like if someone pricked it with a pin it would pop.  Why oh why did I ever eat so much???

RE:Ohh, Too Much Food in the Tummy...
(Date Posted:10/11/2009 10:25 PM)

I currently have too much food in my tummy. I went home to visit my parents and they made a TON of food. We had ribs and fried chicken, green beans and corn, a WHOLE lot of baked macaroni and cheese and then apple pie. My tummy was still a little full from all the gas left over from my little binge two days ago, but I can't pass up my mom's cooking. I had a whole lot of macaroni and cheese which is definitely not contributing nicely to my aching tummy. My tummy already felt full by the first plate but I had to have more food because it tasted so good. By the second plate I was too full. Uncomfortably full even. I knew it was only a matter of time before my stomach started to try and digest the amount of cheese and greasy food and I knew it would just swell. Instead of thinking about it I had not one but two slices of pie. I have the day off school tomorrow so my parents told me to stay the night. I'm glad because now I dont have to worry about my roommate seeing me come home with my poor aching tummy bloated so badly. Any advice for a stuffed tummy?

I am off today so I slept in, then made myself pancakes.  Lots of pancakes.  My tummy is so stuffed, it's touching the keyboard as I type.  It won't even dent when I push on it.  It's like the pancakes formed one big pancake ball inside of my tummy.  I just don't know what to do about it...

I can't believe what I've done to myself.  I just ate an entire pumpkin pie with a quart of vanilla ice cream and milk.  I was just going to have one piece for a snack before dinner and it ended up being dinner.  My tummy is as round as a pumpkin and hurting badly.  It is also cold from all the ice cream inside.  When I move I can hear it all sloshing around in there.  I guess I'd better get some pepto.

Did you ever have an experience where Pepto actually made your tummy worse?  One time my stomach kept getting upset for a couple of days and I had to keep running back and forth to the bathroom.  I would take some Pepto to help get some relief.   A day or two later I woke up with a bellyache that wouldn't quit.  It felt like I had to use the bathroom but everytime I tried nothing came out.  I think it might have been from taking the Pepto that I caused myself to become constipated and ended up suffering with pains in my belly for another couple of days.  Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else.

I never had a problem with Pepto, but if I have a few too many Tums I will get constipated.  And if I desperately need it, I will use Immodium AD, but only half a dose because a full one will cause more problems than it will solve.
