Based in the Charente Maritime region of SW France this collaboration between composer and vocalist has produced some stunning results. This is a new and exciting project that will develop over the next few months. Be the first to listen to their recent output.

This is ART music is hand-crafted for everyone & anyone willing to listen. This flavor of music is specifically made for me. I love Classic Rock so there's a heavy influence of psychedelic instrumentation in the music. There's also a blend of hip-hop and electronic music weaved into the sound. I rap on the hip-hop stuff and jam out with the psychedelic stuff. The two sounds cover a wide span of genres: One sound might represent anything from blues to prog rock to funk to fusion. The other end might represent anything from jazz to hip-hop to afro/reggae to rap. And since its created with electronics I tend to mix up the drum&bass/dance sound into the overall mix.

Having 'dabbled' on piano from infancy, Byron officially commenced his musical escapades on guitar at five and began formal education on piano at nine. Fast-forward to twenty one, when he went on to study guitar and improv under Russ Tuttle, and attended Dick Grove's composing / arranging program in Studio City . There, he narrowly survived exposure to instructors Sammy Nestico (orchestration), Diz Ullman (copying), Lalo Schiffrin (Thematic development), Henry Mancini (music business), Tom Scott, etc.

As a player, he is extremely versatile and equally adept at all styles from Jazz / Fusion to Country, Big Band to Funk / R&B and all Rock styles, Blues to Latin to slide and acoustic forms.

Having played in rhythm sections of all styles since age ten, he is as at home in the studio as on stage. With perfect pitch and a 'team player' approach to music and life, he's a good trouble shooter to have around.

All this has made Byron the guitarist of choice on projects with such great studio cats as David Garfield, Jon Pena, Dave Goldblatt, Gary Novak, Chad Wackerman, Alphonso Johnson, Tower of Power Rhythm Section, Tower of Power Horns, Everett Harp, Will Kennedy and a slew of others.

This Toronto-based trio is a welcome throwback to a time when guitar, bass and drums were all you needed for a great sound. Their vision is to serve the music, to pay homage to artists they love and respect such as the Grand Funk Railroad, Otis Redding, the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Melting Pot’s sound reflects those primordial inspirations -hard-driving rock n’ roll that effortlessly blends blues, soul, R&B, and jamband influences, with creative, honest and powerfully delivered lyrics. Whether you need tunes to help you get over life’s hard knocks or for the soundtrack to a raging party, Nelson Sobral (guitar & lead vocals), Darin Meilleur (bass & backing vocals) and Carmelo Galle (drums & backing vocals) make music for you.

A high energy performance, audience participation and a blend of Rock, Alternative and Pop are just a few of the ingredients that make up “Chasing Amy”. Formed in late 2007, the band consists of four talented and seasoned performers that bring in a diversity of musical styles and presentation.
In early 2009, the readers of “Suburban Nite Life” magazine voted Chasing Amy one of the top five new bands for 2008 in the suburban Chicago market.

Just a few words of warning to the faint of heart, “...

Donald Rubinstein made his musical debut at age 25 by scoring George Romero’s "Martin," which Mojo in 2002 named “One of the Top 100 Coolest Soundtracks of All Time.”

Since then he has recorded 21 CDs; scored several feature films and main titles for two television series; performed and recorded with numerous world renowned jazz and country artists.

Jazziz magazine included a Rubinstein-Bill Frisell duet on their CD, "Celebration of the Modern Era.” Also a multi-media artist, Donald's work has been exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art and The Whitney Museum of American Art.

Donald and Ed Harris co-wrote "Ain't Nothin' Like a Friend" for the soundtrack release of Ed's feature film, "Appalossa".

Emmy award winning filmmaker Miguel Grunstein is currently making a film about Donald’s work and life.

JASON ISBELL Sirens Of The Ditch (New West Records) “If I die before I'm old, my story will be less than told.” (Taken from “Chicago Promenade)

Jason Isbell may still be young, but he's packed an enormous amount of musical experience into his 28 years.

Growing up in a family of musicians, he absorbed everything he heard and began channeling it into guitar at age six and piano at 12.

For the past six years, Isbell was one of three frontmen for the critically acclaimed Drive-By Truckers (DBT)—and although fans may have been shocked by his leaving the band in April, once you hear his solo debut Sirens Of The Ditch (which was co-produced by Isbell and DBT's Patterson Hood) it will only confirm that Isbell has his own unique voice.

Musicians joining Isbell on the album include DBT's Shonna Tucker (bass) and Brad Morgan (drums) with cameos from Patterson Hood, his father David Hood, Spooner Oldham, John Neff and more.

Recorded over the past four years at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals (Aretha Franklin, Duane Allman, Otis Redding), Sirens Of The Ditch is a diverse collection of songs that incorporates elements of rock, blues and soul music into a heartfelt mix of songs that favor piano and pedal steel over buzzing guitars, although, don't worry, there's a fair share of overdriven amps as well.

A lot of old soul musicians came through here in the late 60's and 70's and helped define the Muscle Shoals sound,”the lifelong Alabamian explains, so that influence was always in my environment, but on this record I really tried to capture that.

Truly a striking voice all his own. A soulful melodic mix of Rock, Blues and a dash of Country.
Raised in sparkling Las Vegas, that sparkle shines through his music.

Bud writes melodic songs about life while painting a picture of
various images through words and music. Like days of the old west in
'COME MORNIN'"

His music comes to life like a movie, and infects your heart and soul. "DRIVE" is a great example of this imagery.

Bud captures a little piece of all his roots from the blues, to an up close and personal country feel on "JUST AIN'T FAIR" to full blown rock.

DT Hawkins began his musical journey over twenty years ago, inspired by guitar greats ,like Eric Clapton,Eddie Van Halen,Dan Huff, Richie Sambora, Andy Timmons,Phil Colin, Yngwie Malmsteen,Joe Satriani, Bill Leverty,Zakk Wylde,Jake E Lee, Vito Bratta, and bands ranging from the Cutting Crew to Megadeth and Dream Theater(with his main inspiration coming from late 80's and early 90's radio).

DT would also become a multi Instrumentalist, playing not only guitar, but keyboards, bass, mandolin, and banjo.(although guitar has always remained his main instrument).

DT has played on multiple releases in various genres including Rock,Metal,Classic and Southern Rock, Melodic Hard Rock,Fusion, R&B,Progressive, Pop and Country.

DT released two demo cds in 2006 and 2007, both cds featured DT playing every instrument, DT self released these cds on his own Indie Label MMR.. Going on to receive radio play,cd sells and a fan base around the globe.

Unhappy with being labeled a guitarist for hire, and an Instrumental Guitarist, DT began to focus on something he has been passionate abt since the beginning Song writing. And that brings us to now.

DT is currently writing and demoing songs for various projects.

Usually a list of history in bands go here... But DT prefers the past stay in the past.. and states"I'm looking forward to the future no more looking back on where I've been or what I've done...who cares,I'm only interested in the road ahead..I let the future speak for itself" ~DT Hawkins

“Derek Lathrop knows when to hush and when to push, in the service of a song’s dynamic” THE TORONTO STAR
“Strong Melodies, and good grooves” THE MISSISSAUGA NEWS
“a unique sound, incorporating very personal lyrics and pleasing melodies to create an original musical style” EYE OPENER
“Passionate, driving, and very personal” EYE MAGAZINE

It all began in the basement studio of a Mississauga home back in 1996. That’s when Derek Lathrop (multi instrumentalist, composer, producer, engineer) honed and formed the sound that is now known as and adams rib. A fusion of the sounds of pink floyd, bob marley, stevie wonder, led zeppelin, u2, and queen rolled into one to create “SCENES FROM A CORNER STORE”, the debut effort, released in 1997. The title track quickly garnered success on radio and at Much Music. Derek formed a live band and promptly hit the road. adams rib has been touring every year ever since.

The road experience definitely provided inspiration for the next record, so in January of 1999, adams rib convened once again in the Mississauga home studio to work on the next release, “NEVADA”, a mostly live off the floor recording, which was released in May of 1999. This tour saw the band share billing with Santana and Sting. They also did countless festivals, performing at Canadian Music Week, and NXNE, as well as countless T.V. and radio appearances across Canada.

adams rib have always maintained a good work ethic touring Canada and abroad year of year without fail, sharing the bill with Stevie Nicks, Nickelback, Judas Priest, Loverboy, Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, and the Allman Brothers, just to name a few of the diverse acts that this diverse band has played with. They performed in Chile in 2009 which really kicked off the bands foray into latin music. This is a band that loves to play live, and show off their musical diversity switching between rock, reggae, latin, jazz and funk effortlessly. Jamming between songs with complete fluidity the band members are all schooled musicians.

2012 ushered in the “the mix tapes” a compilation of the bands most popular songs. The lead off single, “Free Music” one of the bands most requested tunes, was released to radio in June of that year. The single hit the top 100 on the Mediabase Rock charts at stations across Canada. Since it's inception the band scored several charting singles and entertained hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe.

Derek finished up the bands tenth studio recording of new material at the end of 2012 and released "Chameleon" in may of 2013. Mostly performed by derek and recorded in his home studio "troy". This recording shows the band steering into a world music type vibe. Now in it's 16th year adams rib will tour out the remainder of 2013 with a new single to be released in the summer of 2013.

Discography:
1997 – Scenes From a Corner Store
1999 – Nevada
2000 – Hollow Bodies
2001 – Forever Café
2003 – Pushing Forward Moving Back
2007 – Blue
2008 – Perdido en Traduccion (the Spanish compilation)
2009 – Free Music
2011 – After August
2012 – The Mix Tapes (best of compilation)

Gord E Nichols grew up in Winnipeg Canada back in the day when Canada's best talent shaped the local music scene. Inspired by locals like Neil Young, The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive etc. Gord E Nichols joined his first band at age 12 . By the time he was 17 Gord E was recording locally and internationally thanks to his personal manager a well known radio and television personality who discovered and promoted Gord early on. Gord E Nichols toured Canada for almost 5 years making connections and a name for himself . After being the featured on a CBC music special showcasing Gord E Nichols original songs and style he landed in Banff Alberta Canada where he played sold out shows 6 nights a week for a year. One of the highlights was being contracted by the world famous Banff School of Fine Arts to entertain their students every night of the week all summer long. Gord E Nichols went on to play music non stop for 16 years in his new found home of Calgary Alberta and played parties for the Calgary Flames NHL hockey team including the NHL All Stars after party. Gord E now calls Kelowna British Columbia home and draws creative energy from the natural beauty that surrounds him. Gord E Nichols Band is a SOLO project of original music and lyrics . In addition to playing all the instruments and vocals Gord E produced , recorded and mixed the tracks in his studio. Mastering was and still is handled by a mastering studio in Nashville. Energy and passion are what drives Gord E Nichols Band's music and fuels this musical mosaic.
