I haven't played enough of the game yet, cuddle, to render an opinion, but I'll get back to you on it. :) It wasn't my fault that I bought the CE, either. Hypnosis was involved, and I was a suggestible subject.

I did it and am I ever glad I did. Been playing most of the day in Hard mode and enjoying the heck out of it. Well worth the CE price for me with hours of challenging game play even with some of the puzzles on the easy side. There were times I wish I could have switched from Hard to Advanced though to skip or get a hint but I've persevered on through with glances at the SG. In my opinion this CE is... Finished the game tonight. Well, almost. Ran into two glitches in the entire game with the last one at the very end. The first glitch was easy enough to play through but since I played in Hard mode with no Hint or Skip... I am unable to finish the Bonus Play. I did mention this in BFG's tech thread and the developers thread they have going. Not sure this is a spoiler but don't want to give any clue and spoil your play of the Bonus Play. SPOILER: In the Airship - the last puzzle will not work. When I insert the key - the tiles do not change for the puzzle.
I so want to complete this game but am stopped at the very end. And I'm not the only one who has encountered this. Aside from that... Absolutely brilliant game and one I am very glad to have invested in the CE for. (Message edited by Smallhaven On 05/05/2011 23:12)

You're welcome. The developer has been in the BFG game forum is reading and responding. Including suggesting contacting BFG CS about the two glitches. So I have although the mouse puzzle glitch was easy enough to get past. I did read that those playing in Easy mode were able to complete the game completely and get past the last glitch that has stopped those of us who played in Hard mode. Waiting for the fix from the developer which was posted as being worked on.

I'm playing it slowly to savor every bit of it. I am finding that Elephant games are pretty awesome in general. No questions about it, though, Raincliff is worth every penny!

I agree with you, Esme! Don't regret the $13.99 for this at all! Glad I was hypnotized. I have played about an hour now and still have much to do and I think I am still in chapter 1 at the stores.

I actually didn't play the first Mystery Trackers until Friday (yes, this week) and am now contemplating this game ... seems as if the CE is worth it, so I might spent the money on it.

I tell you what, b00k, this game is one of those rare games that I both can't wait to play and try not to play because I want it to last as long as possible. (Hope that makes sense) I've played about three hours, and I'm not able to play this weekend much due to Mother's Day responisbilities, so I'm kind of geeked that I will still have more game to play next week.
To me, The Void had a rather charming feel to it. I thought the ogres were cute, and the whole hidden forest/fun park thing was neat. For Raincliff, it's a bit of a different vibe. It's a little eerier and more scary in places. The cut scenes, which can often ruin a game IMO, are actually pretty awesome and scary. The imagery of the masked baddies is right up my alley too.
I really think you'll like it a lot. I know you're a much faster game player than I am, but I still think it'll be worth your time and money. At least I hope it is after I've been going on and on about how awesome it is to me. LOL!

Well, I bought it already ... and I'm sure I won't regret it (even though they recylced at least one screen - you do the trunk of your car in both games and it looks almost identical). I may play games faster, but I make up for this by investing in games with a certain replay value - which, given the achievements, this game surely will have for me.

Since BFG can't get the last puzzle in Bonus Play to work for me... even after doing all the updates and suggestions they requested... they've offered me a refund on the game or I can replay it on Easy or Advanced. Unsure that I want to replay it at the moment, even in the Easy or Advanced modes, and since I can't access some of the Bonus stuff as it is now because they require the game be completed... I'll be asking for a refund. Oh, another thing... I noticed not all the achievemnets were awarded. Possibly the ahcievements weren't awarded because I can't finish the game? Doesn't make much sense since several have to do with not using hints which in Hard mode you don't get anyway. Reading the tech forum at BFG, I noticed others have posted about the achievments not being awarded as they should be. So keep an eye out on this, folks, when you play the game. The developer has been in the forum and reading and responding and has stated they are looking into the glitches some of us have come across. BFG is, also, reading and keeping track per Michael, the CS guy I've been emailing with. All in all... I really liked this game and will replay it sometime in the future when CRS clicks in and I forget most of it. Even with the glitches I came across... I still give this game... It's Garfield, I think, but really great.
Well, I'm still at the beginning of the game, but I know already that I'll enjoy it ... and I'll enjoy cooling down with it as summer has overtaken spring over here right now...

Finished this today. It was a fantastic game. For those of you who have not yet played but plan on it, I suggest writing down the areas visited and what you need to find to complete that area. I had so many things and places going at once and didn't want to live in the strategy guide or keep using hints so started writing things down and this worked well for me.
Did anyone who finished notice in the bonus video section that there is a new game on the way, BLACK ISLE. I enjoyed this one so much I will spring for the CE on the next one also as soon as it comes out. I thought this game was everything a casual game should be.
Only one small complaint. I was stuck on a mini game and went to click on the hint button and it solved the game for me. Hint button is TOO close to the solve puzzle button.

Great idea OP - if I would write things down I wouldn't get so frustrated with the to-ing and fro-ing. Being on my on to wander around and try to remember what is needed where without a map is a big turnoff for me. It didn't use to bother me but I have aged!! Thanks for the recommendation - think I may splurge on this one.
