Well, it came up only after the release list was finished, so I'll cover it there tomorrow, but I will definitely buy it today. Looks good, plays good and starts of interesting (mechanical dog, anyone?).

yet another gamestopping glitch.....seriously, 2 games in a row that have a gamestopping glitch, 1st rescue team, now this, when i picked up the hammer, it went into inventory, when i went to hit the ghosts it dissappeared from inventory yet game says i dont have anything to hit ghosts, so if you make it here and you have a skib button, but no hammer...do not exit,,,,wait for skip to fill, otherwise you will not be able to proceed

Oh no, Bella! I did the beta of this, and loved it! The beta took you to the first doorway, so it was just a sample, not a very long trial...but it seemed short because I enjoyed it so much...you know....time flies....

yeah i am pretty far in, hopefully alawars fix doesnt make you start all over,,, so if anyone gets to whak a mole, with ghosts, and your hammer dissappears...dont exit the closeup to look for it, just skip the minigame...if you exit the mini, you will have no hammer, no skip button, and wont be able to proceed

Thanks for the heads-up on this glitch, Bella. Must say that I'm not loving this sequel as much as I did the first one. The storyline is just okay for me. Maybe as I progress in it I'll change my mind.

Lol Bella, wish I had read this earlier.
I was enjoying the game till I hit the same glitch. Off now to play something/anything else.
How is Alawar for service on glitches, should I hold my breath?
Oops, never mind, it wasn't a glitch for me. Solution follows in white, worked for me:
You can come in and out of whack-a-mole, you just have to have popped the popcorn in the monster's mouth (on right side of screen). Once you have the popped corn, put it in the lap of the Television figure on the left of the screen. This will make the head in the middle of the room release the key from its mouth. Use the key on the door in the back, and you'll get the hammer.**

I bought the 1st one from them, so I bought the 2nd one from them! I have d/l SB1 to play soon as I haven't played since I bought it (just did the beta a long time ago).

I'm enjoying this game. I like the clarity, the fact it's full-screen, and the puzzles.
I'll probably spend most of the day today completing it.

I bought it when it first came out and haven't played it either, PR. I won't allow myself to buy the new one till I try the 1st one. I bought the 1st one because everyone here loved it.

This is one I'm dying to demo. Downloaded it yesterday and it took forever. (I'm still having problems getting anything from Alawar to download at more than 15-20 kbps.) Hopefully, today, I'll get a chance to check it out. From what y'all have said, it sounds just as good as the first!

Maybe we should form a club: The Unsnarkbusters!
Actually, I have 3 0r 4 games that a sequel has been released and I haven't played the first one yet. Empress of the Deep, Letters from Nowhere, and I forget the others. The order I play my games in makes no rhyme nor reason, just whatever catches my eye that given day.
I seem to spend more time looking at games to buy then playing!

Yeeees, OP - I can relate to that. The compulsive testing-and-buying-and-not-actually-playing-my-games club. Yep, yep - I'm there with you. As far as series go (besides the first Snarkbusters), I have the first three Treasure Seekers games, and haven't played any of them, yet. Also bought (but haven't yet played) the first Empress of the Deep, first three Aveyond games, both Cassandra games, DP: The Exiled Prince, DC: Book of Air, EotP: Royal House of Stone, the second Haunted Hotel (won't finish the first one), NM: Asylum Conspiracy (DD just finished it and LOVES it!), Reincarnations: Uncover the Past and who knows what else?
What's getting me through at the moment is that I'm not trying any new games until I'm ready to buy something (will be next month). I've actually been spending my "free" time playing the games I own instead of looking for new ones. That's working out pretty well for me, but it means I haven't played a single game that was released this year. So very tempting to trial some of these awesome-looking games, but I can't do that - no point in having a plethora of games that I'll never play!

You are a wise woman, Genki! But there have been SALES and I can't resist a SALE! Plus, some of the new games were so awesome... plus I had a couple coupons.....plus....plus!!!!!
I hate to admit this, but I bet I have about 50 games (boxed and downloaded) that I haven't played yet! As I said before, I am a game hoarder.

Looks like I'm in good company! I am always buying the next great game, and rarely finishing the ones I had started (I did finish Snarkbusters 1) and now, since I had to replace my hard drive, I have about 500 "new" games, that is games with no progress on them at all, and I'm still buying! I enjoy the chat about the new features or interesting gameplay, and like to join in...but I really should resist a lot better than I do...I usually play about 4 or 5 games at a time, and never seem to complete them...

I decided to go ahead and purchase the game and progress further to see if I changed my mind about it. And I did. I'm really having fun with this sequel. That is until I got to whack a ghost and ended up with the hammer going missing on me. And I didn't get a skip button. This sucks. Emailed Alawar about this and hope to hear early next week from them.

I played the demo the other day and I cannot resist bright cheerful colourful graphics such as comes with Snarkbusters. I will wait for the bugs to be sorted out before grabbing this. Sounds like you are all having fun- up until the ghost thingy....

I finished it today also w/o any problems. Nothing disappeared. In the last game scene - with a dino! - I thought for a while something was not working right, but I was simply wrong. :) Great game, FUN all around!

Small, see Sable's solution above.
I read what Sable posted before I got to this part of the game. I had no trouble whatsoever getting the hammer. But once I did... it disappeared from the skeleton to Inventory and was never available. And I didn't get the Skip option for the whack-a-ghost. Am I missing something here... besides the freakin' hammer... in understanding this part of the game? I pop popcorn, put in lap, get key, open lock, skeleton gives hammer, click on hammer... poof! Hammer disappears never to be seen again. (Message edited by Smallhaven On 04/23/2011 14:24)
