You know I was sure I had written a review of this over at BFG but do you think I can find it?

I don't think I liked this game. I believe some of the objects were really samll and hard to find. I think it also got a little repetitous.

I think it was on my list for awhile - probably as a "maybe" - but I never got it. I do remember that the hint was the cute puppy - which may be why I was thinking of getting it...

I bought it when it came out at BFG, and I quite like it.

It is similar to Gardenscapes, but not quite as good, but better than Time to Hurry, Nicoles Story.

The graphics are good, although it does not play widescreen.
Timed and Relaxed Modes
You can turn off the custom cursor.
You are building up an Antique Store and visit various locations where you find and sell antiques to customers that appear as a list on the right.  If you play timed, you must serve the customers before they lose patience (hearts).
I played relaxed mode so I don't really know if it is difficult time, the timer does add replay value to the game for me.

You can get a rechargeable hint- in the form of Sandy the Puppy, who is very cute and chews on a bone whilst recharging LOL
You can find extra money bundles in each scene.
In between the HOG scenes there are mingames, such as sorting collections and spot the differences.

With the money you earn, you buy furnishings for the Antique Store.

It is a nice enough game and I give it

This is a major improvement from the first Road Trip, which is a Gardenscape type game.  You search for  customers requests by finding their items in hidden object scenes.  You can play timed or relaxed.
The graphics and production values of the game are brilliant.  They have not only made the hidden object searches more interesting by having extra little hidden areas plus  a bit of interactive element, but the mini games between search  scenes are actually really good.   You also build your Antique shop with the money you earn as you go.
You choose your pet dog-  I chose a golden retriever or something but there is a beagle and a few other choices.  The pet dog serves as your hint button and you can recharge quickly by finding doggy treats in the scenes.
Looks like a good length of game here, too.
Not ready for a new HOG yet, but this has gone to top of the list of maybe's.

Thanks for the positive comments, govegirl! I'm glad you decided to give this one a try.  True, it's different from today's puzzle adventure HOGs, and is more for those who like straight HOs. But this one's more interactive than the first Antique Road Trip, because there are hidden rooms and close up areas, and you pick up inventory items within the scene to launch some mini-games.
It's also got a cute puppy (your choice of rottweiler, golden retriever, dalmatian and beagle) and you can dress him up -- he'll stay in that outfit, as he helps you find items. There are trophies and achievements to earn, like for picking up dog biscuits (to feed your helpful dog) and for finding stuff quickly, and for completing some difficult puzzles.

Here are some scenes and mini-games you'll find in Antique Road Trip 2: Homecoming:
