I only played it for about 20 minutes but it seems like quite a good game, if you like building strategy games.

You rebuild magic villages, building different magic attractions and shops, hiring magicians and chasing off the bad monsters.
There is a timer,  I had plenty of time with the levels I played which was only a few, it seemed generous.

I played this and really liked it. I have played Build-a-lot before and I thought it was OK. This IMO is better.

It's the same style of gameplay, build buildings to make money. Each level has a set of goals you must meet.

The game looks really long from what the map looks like.

There are also 2 other modes, banker and defender.

I think it has great replayability and is a fun and quite innocvative considering it is similar to BAL in many ways :)
The graphics are very clear and really cute!

I think difficulty may become a factor in later levels. I think I had problems with 10, that was the first one I began to start to run out of time. Of course this is all done to strategy as well

I bought this one today, and got stuck at level 10...I'm wondering if there is a glitch on the level, because I tried everything I could think of, and couldn't win it....I was enjoying it until then! I haven't tried the other modes, I should go back and see if that works...

Fell asleep before I could report back in - haven't bought it yet but will buy it today.  I can't add much more to what has already been said but that it is enjoyable, as Missi said in the BAL style but not identical, just means that you can get into the game a lot quicker.

I did try the other styles, Banker seems to be that you have to get a certain amount of money each level and the Defender involves getting to a certain amount of revenue while keeping the place free of monsters.  I only played the first level of each and assume that each will get a lot harder.

Cats - definitely worth the download, I think you'll enjoy it.

LynneD - I've got past level 10 but certainly not in gold level time, I have a memory like a sieve so can't remember what I did exactly but it just took time, I remember it kind of felt like the goals kept changing because I would think that I had the strategy right but then had to keep changing things.  When I buy it, I'll replay it and pay a bit more attention.

Lynne - Make sure you read the goals correctly. What got me the first time was that I didn't read that the Magic School needed 3 stars. '

I think I built mainly tailor shops and elephants.
What are you having problems with exactly?
The goals aren't changing for me

I just replayed it and I think what happens is that when you have to upgrade the Magic School it seems that it doesn't recognise the smiles you already have and you have to get some new ones so I already had the Oracle Tent and an Elephant with one star so I built another elephant and fully upgraded them both and that got me enough smiles.  I also had the candy store and 4 Tailors fully upgraded to make up the revenue you need.

I think that is what confused me the first time, I thought I'd done enough but didn't grasp that I needed all new smiles to let me upgrade the Magic School so it seemed like the goal posts had shifted when they hadn't.

The game seems to get quite difficult quite fast. I'm not sure this is going to hold my attention..

Well, I did go back and passed that level...CRS hit....I have no idea what I did now, to get it passed...I had to demolish something and build something different, lol...anyway it's a tricky little game, and it does get harder pretty fast...I have no idea if there are "gold" levels or anything like that...I'm just playing through and when (if) I finish I'll see if I can improve my scores....
