Thank you for the tip on this game!  I'm housebound for the near future because of a leg injury, and going absolutely stir crazy. Don't play too many iHOGS, but this one looks special.

Oddly enough, I actually liked the part of the demo I played. I usually don't play games with occult subject matter, but I loved the look of the graphics so that tempted me onward.  I'm an inexperienced HOG player and half blind to boot, so the sparkles and ease of finding things didn't bother me.   Not that I'm going to buy a CE under any circumstances--I'm too cheap--but will consider it when it's an SE.

Since many new games appear in the app store on Thursday, I'm calling today the start of the week.

Just for Iphone at the moment, but still playable on the Ipad:  Delicious, Emily's Taste of Fame, Gamehouse, $2.99.  I'll probably spring for this--will write review once I've played it.

Not a game, but it's a terrific app, iPhone and iPad versions:  Stitcher Radio, free. Create a custom radio station from live broadcasts and on demand podcasts.  Most are free, some subscription.  There's some great free stuff available.

One of the complaints (in another thread at BFG) was mine.  What I said is that while occult/magic/mystical games make me a tad uncomfortable, that's not the primary reason I avoid them.  I really dislike some developers' tendencies to throw in occult stuff as a substitute for good plotting.  It's a convenient device, but trite and superfluous in so many cases.  If I see another rune, I will scream!

 Over the years I've bought several GH games and played them without incident.  Suddenly, however, when I try to reinstall them, my anti-virus (AVG) says they have Trojans.  Weird,  what's changed, and what should I do?

Thanks, dvdiva!  I downloaded it but just couldn't wrap my brain around it--don't have a lot of experience with adventure games.    Interesting that this one game is frequently on sale.

Thanks for the info!  The only one of these I've played is Fairy Godmother Tycoon, which was a hoot.  Guess I'll try the Hollywood and the Plant ones.

Empress of the Deep:  The Darkest Secret HD, from BFG, trial is free, unlock full game for $4.99.  It is GORGEOUS on the iPad.

Join It, variety of jigsaw puzzles, very nice controls and options, $4.99.

Monopoly, from EA, now $6.99.  I hate EA so haven't tried this out, but others might be interested.

Sims 3 for iphone from EA, now $4.99.  Got this when it was $.99 around Christmastime and thought it was unplayable on the phone.  YMMV.

Superbrothers, adventure RPG, hot game of the month, and now that there's a walkthrough on the Zebo I might try it, lol, $4.99.

I'll add to this list soon.

Unfortunately I can't get the video to load, notabird.  But I love the name of the series--the Canis Film Festival.
