I think "update drivers" is the first response to just about every computer-related tech problem. Well, after checking to make sure everything is properly plugged in, of course. I'm sure they have a standard checklist to go down to eliminate possibilities. Even if your drivers are up-to-date, something could've gone wonky during installation, a file could be corrupted, etc.

If I didn't already have Ghost Master, I'd snap it up. I bought it back when it was first released. I thoroughly enjoy scaring the crap out of pixel people. In fact, I think I'm going to go dig it out and play it for Halloween. :D
It's only $2.99 right now at GG!

Now hold on a tic here--YES, I do realize that proprietary copyright policy is usually if you post it the website in question owns it.
THAT is not why I'm pissed at BF, and to post a blanket accusation that "OMG I turned over a stone and it's BF's fault" is utterly ludicrous at best. My pissosity has been brewing since mid-March and I just now decided to do something about it, as it was a HARD decision to come to.
Believe what you choose to though, but don't generalize the situation because you may not happen to be pissed at them.
The funny thing about text is that it's sometimes incredibly difficult to figure out a person's intent based on the text alone. I think you took something personal that was meant in a more general way, rather than being directed at you personally. I'm blaming myself for a failure in communication.
And no, I'm not pissed at them. That gives me a perspective of a different sort in all this. I am entitled to my opinion, just as you're entitled to yours. I have no desire whatsoever to throw barbs back and forth over it.
ETA: I think we should agree to disagree.

Just a suggestion to folks considering buying stuff on CD, you might want to take a few minutes to investigate exactly what form (if any) of DRM is being used. SecuROM is evil, and one of the major reasons I dropped The Sims franchise after TS2. If EA won't listen to customer complaints, well, I'll get my gaming fix from companies that don't want to stab me in the face with draconian DRM.
I'm still fuming over the Spore debacle, too... Five activation limit AND you want me to have a constant internet connection just to play? I think not! >:(

YES, Cat--that's their copyright policy, regardless if YOU own the copyright or not. Which is TOTAL bullhockey.
I don't see what the big deal is regarding this. It's common practice, usually stated in the ToS, etc. I'm not saying I've ever agreed with it, but I accepted it years ago and post accordingly.
I'm starting to think that people are just looking under every available rock for something to be mad at Big Fish about.

Been kinda busy lately, but a few days ago I got an email for Cursed House, a match-3. Apparently those are all anyone ever sends me anymore, and I think I've only ever purchased two or three. :P

It's not uncommon at all for an official forum to lock threads like that. BFG is far from unique.

I seem to recall, in the demo during the DADA fight, using a grand total of... one ability, one time, to cheese my way through it without getting hit after that round. I can't recall the name of the ability, but it's the one that gives Soul (I think that was his name) a high chance to dodge and counterattack. I say high chance, but it never failed. Where's the fun when the enemy can't even hit you. :(
The blood and guts didn't bother me at all. The lack of an engaging storyline did. By the time I finally gave up on it getting any better, I just did not care at all about the main character, the town, or anything else to do with that game. I liked the art style, though.
I'm not saying this was a bad game, just not for me. The quality of the story is the main thing for me in an RPG, and this one just didn't do it for me.

Hi, folks, and thanks for the welcome. :)

Decided to DL this and give it a shot, since, as hubby says, "You can't beat free!"
It took a few tries, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. Well, the mechanics of it. Now to invest countless hours in trial and error... :P
Thanks for the heads up!

I'm not as big a fan of RPGs now as I was even ten years ago. I blame that entirely on one game that I will not name. :P
My favorite RPGs as far as consoles go would be oldies like EarthBound, FF6, Chrono Trigger, LoZ: A Link to the Past, LoZ: Ocarina of Time, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario RPG, Breath of Fire III and Persona. For PC, I'd have to say TES IV: Oblivion is my favorite. Such a big, open world to explore when and where I want to, how I want to... and it looks amazing on top of being super fun.
I wanted to like Dragon Age, but it just hasn't grabbed me. Maybe it will grow on me eventually.
I'm also a WoW addict, though right now I'm taking a pre-Cataclysm break.

Borderlands is definitely one of my favorite games. It took forever for me to get around to giving it a try because I don't normally do FPS. I was hooked after a few minutes. I've only played Mordecai so far because I thoroughly enjoy sniping, and he's got the best skill set to support it. Made it through PT1, working on PT2.
I absolutely LOVE the way Gearbox decided to generate items. Never knowing what you'll get off a mob or out of a chest adds to the thrill of adventure for me.
I so need to get me a Claptrap figure when it's released!
