My condolences to you and your DH, PR.  It must have been a terrible shock for your DH. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks, OP, bucky, gove and TM.  Heaving a sigh of relief *whew*.

And, being caught up in the craziness as I am, I almost bought a time at a Dude Ranch for some astronomical price from Groupon.  That will teach me to be more careful (I hope).

I was clicking merrily away, and had a "Homer Simpson Duh" moment.  Wait, what, Dude Ranch?  Is that a Big Fish game?  Will I like it?

Luckily I found the "no, I'm an idiot, and don't pay any attention to me" button.

My computer:  My best friend and my worst enemy!

Got through 99% of the game, and hit the dreaded Access Violation Error.

Undaunted and standing straight, I closed out the game and restarted it.  It brought me back to Chapter 14, rather than the closing Chapter 15, but no big deal.  Well, I kept getting the dreaded AVE.

Contacted BF Chat line and spoke to a very nice person named, I believe, Alisa.  Well, she was very nice and understood that I didn't want to play through the whole game again, just to get the last chapter finished.

We all know how the games are so confusing as to names.  Well, Alisa was good enough to give me a credit for Amber Rose, the CE.  I immediately told her it wasn't Amber whatever, but it was a $6.99 game called Amanda Rose.

After much toing and froing, and a few giggles, we decided to call it a draw.  I get a credit for the $13.99 game, and promise (kiddding) not to darken her door again.

If this keeps up, I may be able to play every CE game Big Fish puts out for free.  Again, just kidding.

Off to wreak more havoc on Big Fish <g>.

Lynne, "amusophile" describes me to a T, I think.

Can I ask a stupid question addressed to all here?  The instructions say I must "print" the coupon.  Can I just bring it up on screen and do a copy and paste to the BF game I want?

I just hate the thought of dismantling the laptop, dragging into another room and plugging it into the printer.  (Man, am I lazy or what?).

Just a thought.  Plus, I think I've run out of paper.  bummer for me, huh?

I've signed as well.  Will we get to see the results of the posting?

Posted on 05/04/2011 15:34

Boopers, never thought I'd fall for a coupon deal either - who knew?  Now if I can only remember to use the darn things before the expiration date, I may be ahead of the curve.

Oops, I wanted to reply to a few others who posted after me, but I can only see Genki's message (no offense intended Genki).

But I do want to say the word amusophile still tickles my funny bone.

Thanks to those who clued me into the coupon deal.

I just bought 3 coupons for $3.00 also.

I have to use the coupons by some date in August.  Do all coupons have a "use by" date?

Is each $3.00 game good for an SE game?  And why don't I ever read instructions?

ETA:  Just copied this from the Buffalo site.  I may not know anything further about Groupon, but I am amused by the following:

" Amusophiles and their computer boxes download between one and two
million games from Big Fish Games every day, enjoying its convenience
and the complimentary 60-minute game previews."

So, OP?  How did you like them?

I have not played any games yet, today (May 1st), but I did finish Redemption Cemetery on Friday.  Loved it

Oh rats, I wanted to compliment you highly on your (?) signature at the bottom of the post, Genki, but it doesn't show here.

Anyway, I just it to pieces.

BTW, I deleted this game for a myriad of reasons, one of which was that I went right and left, and then couldn't progress any further.  Probably me, but I just couldn't cotton to this game at all.

And, maybe, find them a new family name, too ... Hildegard is a first name, not a family name.

I take exception to this statement, b00kworm.

Signed,

Hortense Heidi Hermoine Hildegard.

I'm so glad Justice was served, as you stated, GIs.

Now we just have to go after the rest of the terrorists, and keep our homeland, and the world, safe for democracy.

Cake, thank you for the info about help in the Tiny Bang Story.  I've loved the trial, maybe now I can buy the whole game.

Finally changed for me, as well.

Now I'm a bit paranoid about ever changing it again, lol.

Wow!
Am loving the dress. Not normally a fan of lace but this is gorgeous!

I thought Kate looked just gorgeous!  I do have a thing for lace, I remember I had a little black lace dress, way back in the day.  Loved it!

Thought the whole thing went off really well, and I did love seeing all the dresses and different hats.  Kate's mother looked lovely, I thought.

So, when's Harry getting married, lol.

Nono, you slay me!

I think it starts about 4:00 a.m. here, so I'm hoping I won't see it live and in person.  I have set the TV so the Wedding will be taped, and I'm sure I'll be watching all day, on and off.

Curious to see what the wedding dress will be.  I thought the dress Diana wore was a complete horror.  Looked like someone sprayed the poor girl with whipped cream, and let it freeze on her.  I thought she was completely lost in the wedding dress.  Shame on her dressers.  (Just mho, of course).

Still no joy for me, boo-hoo.
