I've been there and seen that a few hundred times plus I've reformatted my machine quite a few times too. Not my idea of fun and I can definitely understand where you are coming from. Try this!
Practice a Healthy Feeling Habit
The next time you find yourself reacting with anxiety to intense energy or situation notice what the unhealthy feeling is...Suspend your reaction in midstream and view this feeling as separate to you.
And take 7 slow breaths - count slowly to 4 while taking a very deep breath - hold for a count of 3 then exhale to the count of 8 or until no air will expel. Do this entire exercise while smiling - even if it is a forced smile - the brain does not know the difference and will react accordingly!
Then say to yourself "I am feeling anxious over ________________________ and feelings can not hurt me - I choose right now to focus on the positive feeling of Joy in this present moment. This present moment of JOY is all that there is."
This really does work - if really anxious then do the breathing until anxiety has passed or over and over throughout the day or event as needed - this also works when you are a little blue or down- then you may not need to do the entire 7 breaths a couple may help - I have also found that if I smile for no reason - shortly there after I am HAPPY again the brain does what it is told!!!!!
This is for Linden or anyone who just needs to bring on calm happiness to their day or tough situation!
It was adapted from from the practices of yoga breathwork - Tom Bunn / Fear of Flying (which I am) - Penney Peirce - Frequency and probably many others - Change and work with this idea to suit you and your situation!

I just read this article from Insight on an interview with Thich Nhat Hanh with Oprah - I found it very helpful!
Thich Nhat Hanh says to "Cradle Your Suffering"
"Every time you have a negative energy that needs to be transformed - like jealousy - anger - fear - to mention only a few, do something to care for this energy. When a mother hears her baby crying, she goes into its room and takes the baby into her arms. The moment the baby is in the mother's arms, the energy of the wisdom and comfort begins to penetrate the baby's body and gives it some relief. The baby stops crying. It's the same thing when you have pain within you: The first thing is to bring the energy of mindfulness to embrace the pain. 'I know that you are there, little anger, my old friend. Breath-I am taking care of you now.'"

Sounds kind of like things that I used to hear coming from people I used to know regarding any and all circumstances:
"Hope for the best but prepare for the worst" and- "Life isn't as complicated as it seems- if anything it's just as black and white as would be a sheet of paper with clearly defined type written words." and last but not least- "There is always someone in our corner and on our side when ever we need someone the most- whether or not we choose to acknowledge them and actually seek out their support is up to us."
Kind of ironic in a way that such would come up beyond a post with something similar to it or completely multi-defined- but it's the sense I get and words I hear hehehe.

Relentlessly view it as a cosmic joke and have only a few guiding principles.
Do as little harm to yourself and others as possible.
Be there for the people you care about.
Be responsible for yourself and your actions.
Ask nothing of others.
Put not stock in the opinions of anyone, but yourself.
Forget about leaving your mark on the world, but live.
Don't dwell in the past.
Don't worry about the future.
Live each and every moment like it maybe your last.
Trust that there is a purpose for your existence.

As I am known to say every now and then:

Wisdom is the key to understanding- understanding opens the door to worlds in which we have yet to explore and or have always dreamed of exploring and explorations lead to whole new ventures in life in which we never thought were possible along with swimming in the greater depths of the processes of thinking hence leading to finding all of the beautiful things we've missed and or have never seen before.

Morning ALL! This is from that wonderful little book I am reading! Hope your day is WONDERFUL! It is from the chapter on forgiveness.
The Latin origin of absolve is to set free, loosen or acquit. Forgiveness stems from this origin. It is not a testament of a good person. It is not a directive to the moral high ground. It is simply the act of letting go of the attachment to the wounds we bear.
It is also not about accountability. Forgiveness doesn't depend on the person who has committed transgressions to accept responsibility. It doesn't require the person that is wronged be "right". The act of forgiveness is about the wounded party choosing to disconnect from the wound. To set free from themselves the situation or person that has been hurtful - even when that person is them. It requires a willingness to let go of responding to a wounded state of being.
Forgiveness bears a direct relationship to your understanding of love, but it doesn't have anything to do with love. Reverberating inside me is the idea that love saturates all things. It is the divine source that connects us all together.
Does being able to forgive make me a more loving person? No, it does not. It cleans up my energy and it makes the expression of love more pure. Being able to forgive offers me a greater freedom to live and dance. It makes me the hollow bone that will allow love to flow through me and out of me.

Suffice it to say- I would write a book if I had the talent and the skills and most importantly- I would have to have something good to write about hehehehe. If anything- for now I'm just happy to share a little philosophy- a little logic and or what ever I come to learn over time hehehehe.

When life seems to have a dull moment and it feels as though there is nothing fun or exciting to do- instead of letting the dull and the drab bring feelings of being down or make you sad- think of all of the exciting things that have come through out life and as you revel in the good times- the fun and or the exhilerating moments where everything turned out just as it should- a new and exciting venture will soon make it a point to present itself.

VACATION UPDATE 2010!!!!!! Hey everyone miss you all! I'll be back soon - hope everyone summer is going GOOD!!! or a least better than mine! LOL
Week ONE -
Jer's and my little holiday was grand! Stayed at our summer home for a couple of days - haven't been there for a couple of years - we started calling it "our 'sons' summer home" LOL - we had a great time - then left for a couple of days visit upper state New York - beautiful area - mountains, lakes and wineries! What could be better! Stayed at a favorite Inn that is based on a French Villa - the courtyard is based on a Monet painting - this is the first time we have seen it in bloom we usually can only get away in the winter - less people then and as much as I like the area snow covered - it was simply beautiful in full bloom!
Week TWO -
UUUUHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Whoever said "all good things must come to an end" was very wise...unfortunately!
The week started out good all rested from my time away and headed out to take kids to their second week of camp! After I dropped the kids off I decided to go into a antique shopping town in New York since I was close.
Everything was closed - not one thing open - OK not all was lost I found a ethnic food festival and got Jer and I a wonderful array of polish food!
I put the food in the back of the car and started for home - stopped to get gas and decided to pay at the pump so the dogs wouldn't get the food - so I am at the pump fighting the dogs who are trying to get out - I can't get my one credit card to swipe - the station attendant is trying to say something to me over the loud speaker that sounded something like -- Mamuneee uooooooohauooooo hayyyyyy prsssssssssss???? over and over -
I get back in the car and see that the pump has adjusted so I grab another cc and try again - SUCCESS!
fill my tank and I am off for home.
An 45 min later I am driving through a little town and decide to stop at a shop - oh what a place! I find a couple of treasures, haggle with the owner, get my price, go to pay...NO WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gone! so I turn around and head back to New York.
OH Ya - all very rural country - no cell phone service!!!
Needless to say my wallet was not at the gas station or the festival and I have been on the phone stopping and restarting my entire life!!!
BUT...I thought to myself last night with a glass of NY state wine...I still have three whole days before I have to get my kidos!...when the phone rang!
I pick the phone up Tatiana crying so hard I could not ever understand her - apparently they were on a night hike and one of the boys spun his flash light around and broke her front tooth!
We are heading up to NY early and will inevitable spend all day having her tooth fixed - poor kid...curse flashlights!
So like I said whoever said "all good thing..." Was very wise - in my case anyway!
Thought I'd share in hope that you would all think of me today and if so inclined, rage with me for at least a moment or two!!! LOL

It's all good Grace and no need to worry-
Things have been pretty peaceful around the CWC House however- I did miss having you around there for a while hehehehe. I miss everyone who ventures out for little stretches hehehe.
Anyhue- it sounds like you had a great vacation and lots of fun and I can definitely say that I can tell that you had a really great energy boost through relaxation and enjoyment. It's good to see the spark return to the spirits of others and it's nice to hear to about their adventures.
No need to worry about venting a little bit here and there though- sometimes it's good to get a few frustrations out for reasoning that it helps to relieve woes- worries and stress too. As long as you feel better Hun and are a little bit happier- it's perfectly normal and absolutely alright- besides- we all do it- we're all Human Hun hehehehehe.

Just a small thought based on a few recent events in my own personal off line way of life here:
" When it seems as though life itself couldn't divulge any more of its deepest and most profound of secrets- it turns around and surprises you with more than you were made aware of.
1.) Business and work environments are always changing- they never stay the same.
2.) Home life ever evolves but not always in the direction or on the levels in which one has planned for it.
3.) Social ideals aren't always as cute- sweet or as pleasant as they seem.
And last but not least:
4.) Friends and their idea of friendship carry different values from your own and or sometimes may lack the values in which you yourself carry which in turn could lead you any which direction and or possibly away from your own.
Therefore the best solution to the ideals at hand- is to covertly observe- allow information to build and then finally conclude with the use of what was observed and gathered as your main frame for standing your grounds and staying unmoved."
