Hospitality One to Another

1 Peter 4:9 Amp. Bible

9. Be hospitable to one another without complaint.

Every have one of those days that doesn't start as you as you would like it to start?  And have either your boss or someone that you prefer not to see at that moment.  And you say to yourself I really do not need this person company at this time?

1 Peter 4:8 Amp. Bible

8. Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks to best for others].

So your boss walks up to you and you think that he/she is going to complaint about the job you did on your last project, so gloom starts to set in.  Then here comes the oops, in your thinking.  The boss was well please in how you handled your last project and wants to promote you and give you a raise. Or the person you know that seems like they just like to complain about anything, then again the oops comes into play, they say something positive.

Hebrews 13:1-2 Amp. Bible

1. Let love of your fellow believers continue.
2. So not neglect to extend hospitality to strangers [especially among the family of believers---being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing you part generously], for by this some have entertained angles without knowing it.

Romans 12:15-16 Amp. Bible

15. Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing other's joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing other's grief].
16. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty [conceited, self-important, exclusive], but associate with humble people [those with a realistic self-vies] Do not overestimate yourself.

It pays to be hospitable to one another without complaint.  Who knows maybe you meant an angel that gave you a piece of wisdom, or a person that just got some good news and needs someone to celebrate their good fortune.  Or a person that had to face a lost of a loved one and need someone there to grieve with, that will give them encouragement to keep moving forward in life.

It does pay to be hospitable to someone, even if it just to say have a good day,

Have a good day,
Have a good day,
John T. Begin
