General Discussion on HG

GALE!!! like Katniss said in CF when she and Peeta are sitting on the rainroad tracks and Peeta is asking her questions.... if it were Gale she wouldnt have to be answering them, he already knows. Peeta on the other hand only knows that she can sing and thinks she's hot. There is absolutly no reason that Peeta deserves her. Yes he risked his life for her, but so what Gale woulda done the exact same thing. At least HE knows stuff about her and what kinda person she is.

General Discussion on HG
(Date Posted:12/02/2009 09:01 AM)
I SOOOO agree with you!!!! I love Peeta and all, but ever since the beginning, I thought it was gonna be Gale and Katniss. When Peeta proclaimed his love, I was all like 'Ahhhh...." but I thought he was just pretending, ya know. I know all you Team Peeta people out there will be screaming your heads off at me but just let me finish: Gale loves Katniss! I can tell! I mean, come on, he calls her 'Catnip'!!! isn't that sweet or what???

i like peeta better as a character, but i have to admit gale is a better choice for katniss. cuz, like you said, peeta didn't even know her before he announced his love on national tv. he's great and all, but...

Eh, Gale seems... I dunno how to say it. He's just not as compassionate as Peeta. Maybe I'm just a big softy, but Gale is kinda cold, and maybe whiny. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's hot as hell. And he has a lot on his shoulders. But Peeta just seems like a more stand up guy in the areas that count as far as relationships go. Though for Katniss, maybe the person who can shoot game in the eye 100 feet away or smells like animal blood is the better person for her. Dunno. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input _onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Wow, you have a really good point there, Basco. That almost made me convert to Team Peeta. Well at least off Team Gale. Almost.

I'm kind of in between. I like both Gale and Peeta. But like it said in Mockingjay, Katniss has this fiery rage in her and Gale does too. Peeta is calm and doesn't like that much violence. That's why I think Katniss and Peeta kind of belong together because Peeta calms that fire in Katniss and she gives him a backbone.

Hey is it just me, or did anyone else detest the ending to Mockinjay? I personally think Suzanne Collins ended Mockingjay too quickly! I was enjoying Mockingjay until Finnick died! I loved Prim and all, but we needed someone important to die! Maybe it would have been better if Peeta died instead of Prim, I don't know. Peeta just doesn't seem right. It took him and Katniss being sent to death for him to tell her he loves her! Gale almost told her he loved her before the games when they said goodbye. Besides, at least Gale was man enough to kiss Katniss before she kissed him! The decision is clear, Gale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I'm totally Team Peeta & have been since day 1 :) Ive been rooting for katniss and peeta ever since the little bread incident, it was just soooo adorable <3 and I did think that katniss & gale would be good together but I'm happy that Collins picked Peeta and Katniss to be together, they just seemed right for eachother, ya know? I loved Finnik, he was like my favorite character, he was so funny. But I was devastated when he died, i couldn't believe it! And prim especially, because it seemed like thats where this wholetrilogy started and I never saw it coming. It actually didn't hit me, until katniss went back to her old house and that whole thing with the cat, I was literally like full on crying. It was just so sad, but I love the hunger games trilogy and pretty much always will. Though I wanted a happy ending, I'm glad it wasn't a happy magical ending because that's not how life is, and in glad Collins ended it with an actual believable ending, to this amazing story. The only thing I hated, was how it didn't say Peeta and Katniss's childrens names. It drove me crazy, I just needed to know. And i was also kind of mad when I finished Mockingjaybecause it was like the end.... and I didn't want it to end. She should deffinately write more books, possibly about their children and how thier life is now. Or a whole different story. <3

I'm with ittsbrooke when it comes to writing more books! But another HG obsessor and I were talking about it and we thought that if Collins wrote another book, it should be about like Gale's grandchild or Leevy's grandkid and like they're on the verge of another uprising! Wouldn't that be sick!
