thanks for that JB. Didn't explain myself very well. yes i'm just fearful that the review will be in the 3 year lease period. I have a few times read that people who had their HRM removed and had a motability car got the car taken back almost immediately, but again i'm sure that was in the press and we all know what they are like!!!

i've been lurking for sometime but just joined, can i just say that this is a fantastic forum for support, help and guidance.
This is my question. I like many others on here have an adapted motability car, my lease ends in May and i'm in complete turmoil, as i don't think i'll get awarded PIP. i work and my commute to work would take a train, two buses, but as my disability is all down left side i would struggle if no seats on transport, plus i have fallen between gap and platform and got my dodgy left leg stuck!!! i get around wih aid of stick in right hand but can do very little with my left side. so my car is my lifeline. I am considering purchasing it at end of lease as without it i'd be stuffed. But my question is about motability no claims and insuring an adapted car.
Has anyone gone from motability after some years been provided with no claims and found an insuramnce company that would insure them. I seem to have read something some time ago that proved this was difficult.
The purchasing of the car will push us into debt as a family but i can't see an alternative. My worst fear is signing a new 3 year lease getting my PIP/DLA review early into that lease and having to surrender the car. Without a car i could not get to work and end up not being able to pay mortgage etc etc.
thankyou for listening to my concerns is good to get it off my chest.
