Hi everyone

At the moment I'm trying to think of a way to propose to my partner. As I'm online looking at possibilities and reading Ouch at the same time, i thought I'd combine the two :) Does anyone have any romantic (and reasonably affordable!) suggestions? Or stories of your own proposals? I've already ordered an ethical ring!

Thanks....

Congratulations!
I haven't got any bright ideas for proposals though.  My husband proposed to me when we were sitting on the sofa sharing an orange.  It surprised us both!

Whatever you choose to do, it will be memorable.

Congratulations! Mr H proposed to me in our friends' sports room following a game of table tennis - it wasn't in the least romantic :¬)

Go away for the day and when you are having a particularly nice moment get down on bended knee and do the thing properly.

Thanks everyone, some nice ideas there. I'll keep you updated. Though I should perhaps have said that because our lives are a bit complicated (who's aren't?!), we know that we can't sensibly get hitched til spring 2014, so there's really no rush! (Or rather, we could, but we wouldn't be able to live in the same county, which would be a bit frustrating!)
