The full stop in front of UK is breaking the link Penthesalie. :)

Very interesting article though, thanks for the link.

Just an update, the said individual who presented the values has read my message and has stated she would like to get in touch with me to discuss the issue. Apparently there is a bit of buck-passing in which the Head of Year herself had been sent the presentation via the Paralympic Committees. Whether this is factual or not, I can only remain skeptical.

Still, might give a chance to try and get the point across. ;)

Aye, I don't think Drug Testing would allow you to do the sport. Perhaps I could replace you for it? ;)

Just finished the letter. I don't disagree that the assembly was good to consider. I just disagree that it implied our Paralympians hold one set of exclusive values for themselves, and Olympians hold their own exclusive values.

"Olympic and Paralympic Values in our Assembly... as much as I agree that all of the values listed are things we should look to, why the hell would "inspiring" and "courage" be values applied ONLY to Paralympians/Disabled People?

Talk about being absolutely patronising."

Totally not complaining about anything here, just you know... keeping myself to myself, and writing a letter about how it was not entirely appropriate. smiley106
