My husband is my carer and as painful, as it has been to discover over the last two to three years, he is the only one that cares about me.
I would like to think everyone here has at least one person in this world that cares about them.

I don't know if this counts, but I have two 'carers' who aren't live-in - my mum and dad.  They have contact with me at least once daily and know the signs if I am struggling;  they are also excellent listeners now they understand more about my MH stuff, so I can confide in them sooner rather than later if something triggers me and I start having thoughts I don't want to have..  So I count myself as being cared for, and very thankful I am too!

If what you mean is do we have a carer then the answer on my part  is yes. If you are asking is there any one who cares about us then my answer would be I hope so, in fact I know so. My OH has put up with me for 37 years and I wouldn't put up with some one like me for that long if I didn't care about them.

In terms of a carer as someone who cares for me and helps me live, without being paid, yes. I live with my mother, who also has various disabilities, and without her I wouldn't eat, wouldn't ever leave the house, and wouldn't be safe. But without me she'd probably have succumbed to her regular suicidal urges long ago, so we're what we call mutual carers - we do different things for each other.
