A mouse has taken up residence in my aspidistra.  It's not the first time we have had rodents living in the houseplants.  This time, there is a burrow in the middle of the compost and a lot of compost has been flung around out of the pot!
Good job I don't too much.  He's company for the spiders anyway.

I think they're cute - even if I did get nipped by one recently trying to rescue it from parents' cat!!

I've never heard of that before, rodents making homes in house plants.  I wonder what the little fella's doing for food?  (I'm not sure of what mice eat, apart from cheese when it's offered!)

Mice are said to be incontinent and wee where-ever they go, just something to think about when you are cooing over a cute little mouse that had probably widdled on the work surfaces in the kitchen and on the rest of the things you have to touch.

Then there's the matter of any electrical wiring hidden away that the mouse or mice can access, could they be widdling or nibbling away where you can't see them?
