Right so to clarify the rules.
A challenge can be issued within 12 hours of the word being posted, the person posting the challenge has to state the number of the post and word they are challenging.
#22 Food is made up of tissue and cooking alters that tissue
In terms of challenges being valid or not I suggest we use this site to clarify things.
Oxford Dictionary click here
If a person believes a challenge to be invalid I suggest the look up the definition of the word and post it .
1 any of the distinct types of material of which animals or plants are made , consisting of specialized cells and their products:inflammation is a reaction of living tissue to infection or injury (tissues) the organs and tissues of the body
2 tissue paper.
[count noun] a disposable piece of absorbent paper, used especially as a handkerchief or for cleaning the skin:a box of tissues
rich or fine material of a delicate or gauzy texture:[as modifier] :the blue and silver tissue sari
3 [in singular] an intricate structure or network made from a number of connected items:such scandalous stories are a tissue of lies
While I can see that the line of thinking relating tissue to cooking it is not something that comes up in the definition or imo is a uncommon connection of two words.
Obviously word associations come in all shapes and sizes and so the dictionary method is not full proof, but this is a game and we need to remember it is meant to be fun, increase word use and encourage friendly play.
If a challenge is challenged as it has been on this thread and people can't agree email a moderator and they can decide.
#23 challenge is disallowed and to maintain thread intregrity I am re issuing
(so the number for the next reply is the number of this post #30)
