The Febuary issue of Mother Jones has 2 good articles one is on the gas indutry and PA, Rigged by Josh Harkinson and the other is research of Tyrone Hayes on the chemical astrazine and it's sex change attributes, The Frog Of War by Dashka Slater.

Harkinson's report centers on Trevor Rees-Jones, CEO of Chief gas drilling company a Texas operation. The payments he made to Corbett's campaign the people from his business who sit on PA advisory boards and the chartiable contributions he has made to curry favor. He also interviews Crystal Stroud and her struggles and fight with the gas industry and PA over the gas drilling near her property  poisoned her well along with 17 neighbors in Towanda, PA.
